Preheat oven to 325ºF.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Spread the coconut flakes evenly onto the prepared baking sheet.
Bake for 5 minutes.
Remove the baking sheet from the oven, give the coconut a gentle mix, and then bake for an additional 5-8 minutes, or until the coconut is golden brown. Be sure to mix the coconut every 2 minutes to ensure even toasting.
Let the toasted coconut cool completely.
