watermelon mint mocktail
I don’t know about you, but as soon as summer rolls around, I want fun drinks. There's nothing quite like sipping on a refreshing, aesthetically pleasing drink to romanticize your day. It doesn’t have to be super fancy or time-consuming, it just has to look it. This watermelon mint mocktail is the perfect solution – it's taking less than 10 minutes (or even 5 minutes if you have pre-cut watermelon)!
Nothing screams summer more than watermelon. Watermelon has always been my favorite fruit - as a kid, I would keep eating it until someone stopped me lol! It’s delicious, refreshing, sweet, and such a vibrant color!
Unlike many mocktails that can be loaded with inflammatory and highly processed added sugars, this watermelon mint mocktail is a healthier alternative. The only added sweetener is a touch of maple syrup, which is completely optional. If your watermelon is already sweet enough, you can skip the maple syrup altogether, making this a no-added-sugar mocktail! Additionally, the hint of salt in the recipe enhances the sweetness and helps keep you hydrated. What more could you want from a drink?!
Tips for making this watermelon mint mocktail:
Blending
Be sure to blend the watermelon mixture on low speed. Blending on high speed will make the mixture excessively foamy.
Sweetness Adjustment
The maple syrup is completely optional. If your watermelon is already sweet enough, you can leave it out.
Frozen Watermelon Cubes
For an elevated drinking experience and to prevent your mocktail from getting watered down, I highly recommend using flash-frozen watermelon cubes instead of regular ice cubes.
Chilling
This watermelon mint mocktail tastes best when served chilled
Sparkling Water
I love the Sound Lemon Thyme sparkling water for this recipe, but you can use any sparkling water or seltzer water of your choice.
Add the sparkling water right before drinking or serving the mocktail.
Serving Size
This recipe makes enough for two drinks.
